Salsa! Art Quilt

Created for an exhibition of the same name, “Salsa!” details 9 ingredients so mouth-wateringly realistic, you’ll think you can pick them right off the background. Each block is filled with pattern and color to reflect the rhythm, pageantry, and beat of Salsa music.

Materials and Techniques: Freehand machine embroidery, machine decorative stitching, freemotion quilting, hand applique, trapunto. Commercial cottons with cotton, acrylic, and polyester thread.
